DEVELOPMENT OF EFFICIENT MINING TECHNOLOGIES AIRBORNE SURVEYS IN KOREA FOR NONMETALLIC MINES

In order to reduce mining operation costs, KIGAM developed mining technologies that can be optimized for mine ventilation, mining operations, mine planning and other processes in 2018. As a result of applying these technologies to a non-metallic mine in South Korea, the required power for mine ventilation was reduced by 46.7%. Moreover, the ventilation conditions in the mine have improved greatly, the cycle times required for unit mining operations have been shortened by more than 10%, and the hauling distance has been reduced by approximately 50% due to improved transport routes.
